Items to Borrow and Hire

We have four 3m x 6m white tents that may be hired by local community groups and for private events. Hirers are responsible for collecting, erecting and returning the tents. Full written instructions will be provided. A minimum of four people would be needed to erect each tent. The tents were bought from the International Scout Jamboree held in Essex in the summer of 2007, with a generous donation from Finstock Parish Council.

Rates

The lower rates for community groups reflect the aims of Finstock Community Projects. The hope is that the hire charges will cover the annual costs of insurance, repairs and maintenance. The hirer is responsible for his or her own public liability insurance in the event of accident or injury caused to anyone using the marquee. Any significant damage will also be charged to the hirer.

A Finstock Community Group is an organisation that exists in the village and is for the village and its people.

A Finstock Private Event is an event that an is not being run by a Community Group e.g. private party or function.

A Local Community Group is an organisation that exists in the local area** for the local area and its people.

A Local Private Event is an event that is being run in the local area**, and is not being run by a Community Group e.g. private party or function.

**=Here, 'local area' means: Ramsden, Fawler and Wilcote.
